Sing, Little Bird

First of all prepare yourselves cos there is a lot of A song of ice and fire to be uploaded into my gallery.
I've started to read the books and can't take my hands off them .


SPOILERS AHEAD!

1.In the books there is a weird bond between her and the Hound. I was quite intrigued by their story. The words they exchange and the gestures have a lot of hidden meanings. For example we know that he gives his cloak to Sansa 2 times and we also see she feels secure while under his cloaks. Funny thing is that she almost refuses to accept the cloak from Tyrion while they are married. We know that in Westeros the cloak is like exchanging rings during the marital rites nowadays. So maybe Sansa accepting Sandor's cloaks two times for- shadows something from their future.

2. In the night during she enters her room she asks herself if she will meet Lady(her dead direwolf) when she dies..and right after that Sandor makes his presence known.Could it be that he could be a surrogate/ replacement for her dead direwolf?

3.If their age gap freaks you...you need to bear in mind that the action takes places during the medieval times. In those times is was quite common for young girls to be married to older men. One of the  marriages that comes to my mind is that of Edgar Allan Poe who married his 13 year old cousin when he was 27. And this happened in 1836...long after the IRL middle ages.

4. The age difference between Sandor and Sansa is 15 years If I calculated well. She is 11-13 and he is 26-28 through the series. The gap is smaller than that between Drogo (30) and Dany (13). I see a lot of people who admire DrogoXDany or even JorahXDany and call the SansaXSandor relationship weird.

5. Is it love? We don't know. All we know is that he protects her, gives her advice and when he helps her get up he is gentle...

6. We know she imagined a kiss with him, has dreams of him and most important she feels safe wearing his cloaks but doesn't know why.

7. Some said the Hound is dead. Read this : www.westeros.org/Citadel/FAQ/E… .George Martin is very discrete with hints... His death could be metaphoric as in part of him died and the other one found peace.

8. The Hound has Northen features (gray eyes, dark hair). Maybe that is why Sansa kind of feels safe around him or at least not as scared as she used to be.
